Journaling for mental health

Journaling offers the opportunity for a brain dump – to transfer onto paper a physical manifestation of the jumble of thoughts, ideas and feelings overwhelming the mind.

It is a tool for self-care and self-development. It will offer an opportunity to break the cycle of habits that leave people stuck doom scrolling or rotting.

Journaling is a tool for examining one’s own self and life. It can help offer insights on how to do things better or differently.

The insights and reflections from journaling can help people become unstuck from routines or a rut they find themselves in.

These journaling sessions are for people who want to start journaling, and for those who regularly journal. Journal prompts will be carefully chosen to help participants start the process. It will give participants opportunities to get a view of who they are and can be outside of the daily demands of their lives. Or, it will offer opportunities to have creative fun.

Sessions are curated for self-care and self-discovery.  There will be quiet journaling, followed by voluntary sharing for connection and the spirit of openness.

Benefits of group journaling include:

o   Opportunities to meet and connect with like-minded others

o   Feel seen by others with different experiences

o   Create a space to welcome joy and celebrate togetherness

o   Basking in the simplicity of putting pen to paper to transform the mundane into something more

Come for the experience. Come to share. Come to connect.
